My name is Mike Colt and I always enjoyed painting and drawing as a child, but chose Computer Science/Mathematics as my field of study during college. After completeing my degree from Furman University; I moved to New York City where I completed many potraits of tourist in Greenwich Village and began to focus on painting onto canvas. Artist Keith Haring was in Greenwich Village at this time and his bright colors and "Pop" images influenced my philosophy of design.

The 1990's brought me to Los Angeles where I developed my personal style of painting on the famous Venice Beach Boardwalk. Daily exposure at Venice attracted the attention of local galleries which now exhibit my work. I currently distribute most of my prints myself, although three of my works are licensed and published by Flying Colors Inc.
